Shevell Group honors its best of the best workers for 2011
The Shevell Group is proud to announce its 2011 annual award winners. The following is the list of outstanding employees who were recognized from the companies of the Shevell Group:
Ed Generous has been honored as the 2011 winner of the Arlene Shevell award. This award is given annually to the worker who exemplifies the highest level of dedication and contribution within the Shevell Group. Ed is the company’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He is responsible for directing the company’s sales effort for more than 70 sales professionals at the local and National Accounts level, as well as all the marketing for the Shevell Group of Companies. Ed has more than 30 years of industry experience in sales, business planning and marketing. He joined NEMF in 2002.
The 2011 recipient of the Mark Jensen Award is Joe Millet, Traffic Manager within the Yield Management Department. This award is presented annually to the employee who demonstrates administrative and management excellence. Joe has been with NEMF since 1990.
George Marshall is the recipient of the 2011 National Accounts Sales Award. George has been employed with NEMF as National Account Executive based out of Cleburne, TX for the past 9 years. His area of responsibility includes the state of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. George is a repeat winner having received this recognition in 2009, 2010 and now 2011.
Eastern Freight ways is pleased to announce that Rich Mingrone, National Account Executive has been named the Most Valuable Player for 2011. Rich joined NEMF/Eastern Freightways & The Shevell Group of Companies in 1989 as an Account Executive. In 2001 he took over the role of National Account Sales for the Northeast.
Terri Baker of the Richmond, VA Terminal has been named the recipient of the 2011 Paul Danzak Sales Award for most improved Account Executive. The award is presented annually to the Account Executive who achieves the greatest sales growth over the previous year. Terri joined NEMF in July of 2006.
Mitch Bookbinder has been named the recipient of the Jon Shevell Memorial Award for 2011 for best overall sales performance and growth among the Shevell Group of Companies. After several years in the flatbed business, Mitch joined Eastern Freightways in February of 2010.
The NEMF Allentown, PA terminal, under the leadership of manager Dave Hillman, has been named Terminal of the Year for 2011. In determining the award, NEMF measures each terminal's performance in a variety of areas. Judging criteria include safety, customer service, revenue growth and profit improvement over the prior year.
The Rochester, NY terminal, led by manager Robert Heumann has been presented with the award for the best overall Service and Claims performance. On time service for the year exceeded 97% and claims as a percentage of shipments came in at a very low .32%.
